How’s This for a Winner?

Oh my gosh, you guys!! With your help, CJ Redwine has earned just over half of the funds she’ll need to bring Johanna home from China! Isn’t that awesome? I’m so happy for CJ because she’s almost there. So, many thanks to all of you who have donated and promoted her cause! You’ve done a really good thing.

Now, while it’s awesome that she’s so close, she still has another $4000 to raise before her adoption can happen. So, if you can find it in yourself, I mean really dig deep guys, and help her out once again, or for the first time if you didn’t get a chance to before, please go to CJ’s blog  to read her adoption story and to make another donation. I’ll be going back today, too. It means perhaps a few trips to Starbucks skipped, but I know that it’s a good cause. And nothing would make me happier than to see a mother united with her child.

If you haven’t had a chance to read the First Chapter of my fellow Bookanista Beth Revis’ YA dystopian novel, ACROSS THE UNIVERSE, holy schmoly, you have no idea what you’re missing. I was blown away people. Seriously. I was so excited reading this, like almost holding my breath. I whipped through it once and then had to go back through and read it again slowly. Guys, if this book is anything like it’s first chapter, it’s going to be unbelievable. I’m talking (Dare I say it?) HUNGER GAMES sweet here. I so badly wanted to keep reading. Curse you, Razorbill for keeping us waiting!!!!!
